    Hi @grddigitalsolutions

Did you have a staging site set up at staging.steelhouse.shop? About a week again it seemed that there was an Identity Crisis which may have caused the behavior you’re describing. Are you still having the issue?

    Hi @bruceallen ,

Yes I had a staging site. But it was later deleted completely before 2 weeks. Now I have only Production website in the domain steelhouse.shop

“Are you still having the issue?” – Yes, i’m still facing the issue in accessing the dashboard and settings of Jetpack from my wordpress dashboard. Now I’m seeing a new error page when compared to the previous one “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page”. Have attached the error for reference. Looking forward for you assistance in resolving the issue. Thanks

Hey @grddigitalsolutions – I checked the screenshot and found the Error establishing a database connection error there. It is a fatal error that makes your WordPress website inaccessible. This error occurs when WordPress is unable to make a connection to the database. A number of things can affect your WordPress database connection.

The best thing to do here is try contacting your hosting provider to get help in the right direction.

Once the database issue is resolved, I would suggest uninstalling the Jetpack plugin and reinstalling the fresh copy from the WP Admin ? Plugins ? Add New section.

Let me know how it went!

    Hello grddigitalsolutions,

Do you have updates about that? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no activity, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!

    Hello team,

Now I’m receiving the same old error message “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” . Looks like the database issue is not there anymore

    Hi @grddigitalsolutions

I’m seeing an issue with a missing Jetpack xmlrpc method that might be causing that error. Could you try completely deleting and then reinstalling and reconnecting Jetpack on your site?

I am facing the same issue. I have tried disconnecting and deleting Jetpack but it still shows the same, “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

    Hi grddigitalsolutions,

It looks like everything is working correctly on our side. I can see that the Jetpack connection is active and without any issues. I think this is more related to permission in your files, could you double-check about this with your hosting provider?

    Thanks,
