    The e-mail signup sheet on my site has worked fine since I put it up a few months ago, but since Thursday morning I noticed I wasn’t getting any signups, and when I try to fill out the form in a private browser to see if it works I get this message:

    “An error occurred while processing the form. Please try again
    (Invalid nonce. Please refresh your browser.)”

    Is anyone else having this problem and/or know how to fix it?

    Thank you!

  • Hi @amartinelli1230

    I hope you are doing well today. Since the form was working for some time, and all of a sudden, it stopped working and started throwing errors, this might be as a result of a plugin/theme conflict.

    I’d suggest that you perform a full plugin/theme conflict test to identify the cause of this issue.
    Before you embark on this please make sure you do a complete backup of your website(Preferably, perform the test in a staging site)

    Steps;

    1. Deactivate all plugins except Forminator
    2. Switch to a basic theme as Twenty Twenty Two

    To learn more about how the plugin conflict test is executed, please see this guide below:
    https://wpmudev.com/docs/getting-started/getting-support/#conflict-test

    Check out this handy flowchart of the troubleshooting process detailed above.

    Option 2;

    To further investigate this issue could you please export your form https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#import-export to pastebin.com or Google Drive and share the link?

    Kind regards,

    Hi @amartinelli1230

    The first option I recommend before following the steps above is to resolve this issue by setting the form to load with Ajax.
    To do this, follow the steps below:

    1. Go to the form screen.
    2. Click on the edit button for the form with the issue.
    3. Click on ‘Behavior’ in the Edit form screen (navigation section).
    4. Scroll down to ‘Method.’
    5. Select ‘Ajax’ (if not already selected).
    6. Click on ‘Update.’
      This should resolve the issue.

    Best regards,
    Olumide Akintunde

    Hi @amartinelli1230,

    “An error occurred while processing the form. Please try again
    (Invalid nonce. Please refresh your browser.)”

    I’m afraid, this isn’t something I could replicate out of the box. There could be many factors for such an error to occur which also include conflicts.

    Is it possible to also share the page URL where you notice the issue while submitting the form, so that we could have a better idea?

    Looking forward to your repsone.

    Kind Regards,

    Nithin
