Hello, I have the latest version installed (6.1.1), and when I click the deignated start element for a tour, nothing opens. The start element appears to point to an anchor link https://<domain.com>/#

The Tour had been working before, is activated. Is there a configuration element I should look at or into? Thank you for your help, the plugin is usually great.

    Hello,

The plugin code has undergone significant changes to make it lighter and more modern, but unfortunately these changes have also caused some bugs to appear, for which I apologize and will resolve them as soon as possible. Could you please send me the public link to the tour, the instructions to start the tour and a printed screen with the tour options (especially the triggers part)?

    Hello,

This is an overall excellent plugin, that has to account for a lot of complexities across use cases, device sizes, etc. So while not ideal the large changes are resulting in issues, as a small development team you have created a usually-great product.

The Tour is behind a login on a membership site. Is it possible to safely roll back to a previous version of the plugin while bugs on the new one are being worked on?

Could I disable and delete the existing plugin, install an older version, and the tour data will still be pulled correctly from the DB?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Thank you, yes you can roll back to 5.4.1. That should be fine. Data in DB are kept, so no worries. Can you check if your CSS selector for the trigger is filled and corresponds to your start element? See the image below.

    Hello,

Resetting it visually, clicking “Set Visually” from the backend builder page button seemed to work. There was already an element there, though clicking this button then selecting it again appears to have restored the functionality.

Previously having tried before from the on-page Tour editor, re-selecting and saving the trigger element, seened not to work. Not sure if clicking the “Set Visually” button somehow saved anything differently.

Thank you for your time and insights.

    Hello,

“On-page Tour editor” and “Set Visually” should be same code basically, I just tested in latest version and it is working both.

It was probably some upgrade scripts bug while upgrading to v 6.

Nice to hear that it is working for you now.
