Hello everyone, I use woocommerce memberships 1.25.0 (latest version when I wrote this post).

I’m starting to migrate my site to flexbox and I noticed that woocommerce memberships view control support is only working on the old model with sections.

I contacted skyverge about the compatibility issue, but they asked me to contact you because you were the ones who added this feature to Elementor.

The problem is simple, the member control function does not appear in the advanced tab of the flexbox widget, if I switch to sections it works normally.

Is there any configuration I need to do on my side to appear?

  • Hello, I’m using flexbox containers and can see the Membership visibility settings without issues, but I’m still in Elementor 3.15.3 because the 3.16.X versions are causing some layout issues on my websites. If you don’t see it with the same version there’s probably another plugin messing with it.

Hello @mairag , I’m on 3.16.4, member visibility only appears if I use sections, if I use flexbox it disappears.

I also faced layout problems when migrating to 3.16, so the pages that I didn’t need to have member control migrated to flexbox. It would be much better.

But I have sections that I need to migrate and they depend on memberships working with flexbox.

And if you roll back to 3.15.3 the problem is still there?

I just tested with version 3.15.3 on a virtual machine, I turned off all the plugins, only Elementor, WooCommerce and WooCommerce memberships were active. All updated.

The problem continues, in the sections everything works, in flexbox not, which version of memberships are you using?

    I’m using Memberships 1.25.0

    I’m using 1.25.0 too: https://i.imgur.com/QhAh9m1.png

I’m using Elementor + WooCommerce Memberships from Elegant Modules.

This plugin should do the same: integrate WC Memberships with Elementor. And it has the exact same problem. It’s only working when using sections. When using flexboxes, the control disappears.

I thought ElegantModules was the only one providing this functionality. Now I found this post, looking for a solution.

But I cannot find anything about this on the skyverge website. Where can I find more info about the plugin you are using? (Do you have a link, please?)

Or am I mistaken and is this functionality just part of the WooCommerce Memberships plugin itself?

BTW, I’m also using Memberships 1.25.0

Hi Mike, I talked to skyverge support and they said that it is the Elementor team that needs to fix the problem. The important thing is to bring more data to this thread to help developers fix this.

Here is the Memberships documentation: https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-memberships/

I haven’t done it yet, but if you can, test it on a clean install and let me know if it works.

@mike2972 Hello. In my case, I’m not using any add-on for memberships, just Elementor Pro and WooCommerce Memberships, and the visibility setting shows up without issues but I haven’t updated Elementor for other issues.

Hi everyone, I just tested it on a clean wordpress site. It really isn’t working, look at the screenshots.

    @dellalibera you wrote:

It’s very sad and disappointing to hear that Skyverge is so easily brushing it off and not taking the problem seriously. Unfortunately, they’re not taking responsibility and are shifting the blame onto Elementor.

It’s important to remember that THEY (Skyverge) have created an addon for Elementor (called WooCommerce Memberships), and if it stops working due to changes made by Elementor, THEY (Skyverge) should be the ones adapting to these changes, not the other way around.

Skyverge appears to be quite arrogant in this regard.

I contacted Elegant Modules. The ones I got my plugin from, because they have the same issue. They should fix their plugin, so it starts working again. Let’s see what they have to say about it.

BTW: this plugin also offers content dripping in Elementor. That’s why I chose this one. But then again…. It’s not working with containers. Only with Sections ??

@mike2972 WooCommerce Memberships is not an Elementor Add-on, I think you’re talking about a different plugin.

@mike2972 I have been using this woocommerce memberships solution for years, in the past I had a good experience with feedback and willingness to help from skyverge, when I got in touch this time they were available for any clarification on the matter. I received a response in less than 48 hours, as for Elementor, no one has responded since I opened the topic.

The problem with flexbox is not an emergency for me, I have everything working with sections, but migration will be necessary in the future.

When I did a clean install of WordPress + Elementor, Flexbox was activated by default. Sections is probably a legacy feature now.

@mairag, yes I know WooCommerce Memberships is not an Elementor add-on, but it does have an Elementor integration. And it’s that integration that only works with sections and not with flexboxes.

@dellalibera, I think you are right about sections being or becoming a legacy feature. Still, I believe that Skyverge is the one who should fix their coding to make their Elementor integration work with Elementor.

@mike2972 They don’t mention Elementor in the plugin website so it’s not like they’re tricking us, when I purchased the plugin I didn’t expect to be able to show/hide widgets based on the user level, it was a nice plus but the plugin worked as promised without that feature too.

Of course, I wish they would contact Elementor to solve this issue as a team but that rarely happens.
