Crocoblock’s “VIdeo Playlist ” widget error

    Hi,

    there is a conflict with “VIdeo Playlist ” Crocoblock’s widget, it loads the latest youtube feed.

    the error i got in console is this:

    jet-blog.min.js?ver=2.3.5.1:1 Uncaught ReferenceError: YT is not defined
    at initPlayList (jet-blog.min.js?ver=2.3.5.1:1:2443)
    at _runHook (frontend.min.js?ver=3.16.4:2:35407)
    at Object.doAction (frontend.min.js?ver=3.16.4:2:36009)
    at e.exports.runReadyTrigger (frontend.min.js?ver=3.16.4:2:3966)
    at frontend-modules.min.js?ver=3.16.4:2:1107

    And the main widget does not get displayed

    as long as i have the Youtube integration enabled. If i remove it i the plugin works, without error, but it does not catch the cookie.

    Hi @apatsidis123,

    Complianz doesn’t have an integration with this specific plugin yet. The issue likely occurs when Complianz blocks the YouTube API before consent is obtained, and the JetBlog plugin doesn’t expect that.

    While we might be able to block the JetBlog scripts (alongside the YouTube API) until consent is obtained, a more robust approach would be for the JetBlog plugin to integrate with the WP Consent API. Which would avoid us having to block scripts from their plugin.

    We therefore recommend reaching out to the developer of the JetBlog plugin and suggesting an integration with the WP Consent API to address this.
