Can I use Multi Site WordPress without it running my site

  • Hi,

    It seems that everything I have read points to no. My question is.

    Can I use Multi Site WordPress without it running my site. I want my example.com to have it own navigation/content, with a link to blogs. These blogs are going to be run by different people. Is the only way I can do this is just to create separate wordpress installs for each person?

  • You can enable the network in your main install, have separate blogs for each person AND your main blog can still look however you want. users will not have access to your main blog other than their profile page in the admin area.

    Thanks for the answer. I actually figure it out. I installed it in a separate directory (under blogs). Then each multi site will be /blogs/blogs_name
