Tweakability of a theme

I had my blog re designed in July. I like it, but just discovered the layout is not ad friendly. I need to be able to run banner ads I’m told. The theme is Florance. My blog address is Bodaciousboomer.com. I’m new to this and incredibly dense. Code scares me to death. Is this a tweakable thing? Or am I looking at a redesign which I cannot afford? I could lose the Twitter updates no problem. I would really appreciate any info at all. Michele
