HOWTO: List all members sorted by location.

    I have a simple requirement but I can’t find a suitable solution.

    I need to be able to display publicly a list of all members sorted by their state. For example, a visitor should be able to come to the website and see all users based in California, or New York, etc. (Ideally it would be sorted by URL: members.php?state=california, etc.)

    What is the best method to achieve this?
