I’ve got everything set up and working great. CSS/JS minified, got cnames and local cdn setup. Problem I’m having is I am forced to have all caching options under general settings turned on. Any time I deselect an option it unchecks the option that says “deselect this option to disable all caching functionality”. So I either can have everything on, or nothing on. Is this supposed to be this way? I read that the db cache can slow things down on a shared host environment and that’s what i have (Bluehost)so I was going to keep that off.

  • Deselect them manually using their respective checkbox as needed. On shared hosting use the defaults and customize them on their respective settings pages as needed.

So, to be clear — if the “Deselect this option to disable all caching functionality” box is UNCHECKED, that’s OK?

If I try to check the “Deselect this option to disable all caching functionality” box, it turns on CDN. But when I turn off CDN, it unchecks the “Deselect this option to disable all caching functionality” box.

I don’t want CDN, so I unchecked it. So, the “Deselect this option to disable all caching functionality” box is unchecked, but the “Page Cache” box is checked, “Minify” is checked, and so on. Under these circumstances, page cache and minify are working?

Ignore the option completely and check manually that each option below is enabled or not as you desire.
