    Hello,
we have added the breadcrumbs from Yoast for our webshop. We would like to show the correct way including the product detail view. Now I see that this only works for the parent category “Telekommunikation” but in the “Onlinesortiment” it doesn’t appear as desired. The sub categories are not displayed there…
For example, viewing any product from the first category and then from the second category.

In secound view it should show
    Home | Onlinesortiment | Festnetzprodukte analog | Analoge Telefone | Analoge Schnurgebundene Telefone | AVM FRITZ!Fon C6

Any idea why this behaves differently?

    Kind regards,
    Johannes

    Hello @blue2shop

Thanks for reaching out about your breadcrumbs. For AVM FRITZ!Fon C6, can you share a full screenshot of the product category sidebar when you go in to edit the product? It would also be helpful if you include a screenshot of what you have in WordPress > Yoast SEO > Settings > Advanced > Breadcrumbs.

    Hello maybellyne,
    thanks for responding.
Hope here is all you need to get a better overview.
Here is the category view with products in it (breadcrumb works)
    or direct link: https://shop.bluezwei.at/product-category/onlinesortiment/festnetzprodukte-analog/analoge-telefone-festnetzprodukte-analog/analoge-schnurgebundene-telefone/

And here is the view after opening the product in the detailed view. The reference to the category below is correct. But the breadcrumb doesn’t have the full link (like the previous view has)

This is a screenshot of the backend for processing the selected product category

And here the set at Yoast Breadcrumb section

Please let me know if you need any further information.

    Kind regards,
    Johannes

Thanks for the screenshots, Johannes. Some fields have keine filled in. Does that translate correctly as NO in the English Language?

Since the breadcrumbs work perfectly on Epos ADAPT 135 II, can you share a full screenshot of the product category sidebar when you go in to edit that specific product? I’d like to compare Epos ADAPT 135 II with AVM FRITZ!Fon C6.

    Hello Maybellyne,
yes, you are right, “keine” means that there is no value selectet.

Here is a comparison of the two product views

    Kind regards,
    Johannes

    Hello Maybellyne,
I would like to inform you that I have noticed some strange behavior. Actually, I’m looking for products that don’t have a picture. At first the breadcrumb is incorrect in the detail view, but after manually uploading an image to the product the breadcrumb is displayed correctly. Here’s an example.

    Wrong breadcrumb:

Correct breadcrumb after uploading the image:

Of course I refreshed the page before uploading the image. That didn’t make any difference.

    Kind regards,
    Johannes

Thanks for the screenshots, @blue2shop, though I expected a screenshot that shows the product category selection when you go in to edit the product, not what it looks like in the frontend shop.

For AVM FRITZ!Fon C6, can you let me know if you chose a primary product category?

    Hello Maybellyne,
I don’t know why, but the breadcrumbs work properly after resaving the product. That’s why I saved all of our products again. This solved my problem.
    Many thanks for your help!
    Johannes
