I have a WooCommerce site – not that many non-WooCommerce plugins. The icons show on Products pages and when using a shortcode on a regular page when logged in as admin. When not logged in, the icons do not show. Looking at Inspect, I see the code. I’m using Astra, but checked in Twenty-Twenty Three as well. I disabled my cache plugin – no change. Thoughts?

I checked your site and the share buttons are actually displaying for visitors. Do the buttons appear for you if you open one of your product pages in private browsing mode, and/or with browser extensions disabled?

Wow – thank you for your speedy reply! You are indeed correct – I had forgotten that my antivirus installs a tracking blocker extension. Do you have any thoughts of modifying the code so that the icons are not blocked?

I have looked at some other sharing plugins that are not blocked using my browser extension. I prefer yours, but am concerned that I’m not the only one with an anti-tracking browser extension. Thoughts?

You can work around content blockers by enabling the plugin’s local caching option in Settings > AddToAny > Advanced Options.

Still weird that it works when you’re logged in — which extension was it?

Thanks again for the prompt attention. This is even stranger – when I turn on the option for local caching, the icons disappear when I view the site being logged in as admin.

And, when I try a browser with the anti-tracker turned off, they also do not appear with the local cached option checked. I’ve been purging my WP Optimize cache after each change, just to be sure.

The only thing that seems to work is local caching off for the plugin and browser anti-trackers disabled. Even then, it is not consistent among products. Sorry.

I am using Bitdefender Anti-Tracker and Malwarebytes Browser Guard.

I wanted to update this thread with new results. I decided to start clean from scratch. I installed the plugin, enabled local cache, left my anti-tracking extensions in the browser, and everything works!

I did have to add some custom CSS to fix display of the icons on my Products pages where I am using an extra options plugin – not a big deal.

I tested GTMetrix before and after and in a twist, it is actually better after the install and config. Thanks again for the support – I hope this helps someone else. When in doubt, start over clean and fresh.
