Good but integration stopped embedded YouTube links from working in Woocommerce

  • RESOLVED! – I disabled YouTube integration.

    This is a very thorough plugin and offers lots and lots of options even in its free version. However, probably because I had configured it following the wizard, it stopped, embedded YouTube videos working and reported a 404 error.

    It used to work but maybe an update broke it? I checked support forums and I can see other problems with YouTube videos not rendering. I think we need a simpler plugin, though this has lots of scope if you want to get really particular about cookies.

    If you allow us to assist with the YouTube behavior you experienced, we will be glad to do so. Feel free to share an URL to such a page where we can see the behavior, and we’ll look into it.

    Also if the need ever arises, you can disable specific Integrations in Complianz. This would allow you to disable the single Integration that causes the issue on your site (Complianz -> Integrations), such as “YouTube”, which would allow you to keep using the plugin; without affecting the YouTube elements.

    I actually deleted the plugin but I’ll get it again and try disabling YouTube integration. We try to collect as little data as possible from our visitors and we don’t use their personal information for anything other than processing orders. We don’t use mailing lists either so we’re looking to make the site ‘tick the boxes’ for GDPR at minimum level. I’ll try again and report back. Thanks.
