• Hello,

I’m trying to configure the slideshow on the constructor theme, but I’m new at this so having some problems.

it says that in order for this theme’s slideshow to work I have to upload imagerotator.swf file.
here it is, with instructions on how to upload / install it:

    https://www.longtailvideo.com/players/jw-image-rotator/

well, I managed to get this file into my webFTP, but I think I didn’t do it right, … could you please help and tell me what I’m missing, and how to fix this so the slideshow works correctly?

Here’s what my site looks like now:

    https://fotofrontier.com/wordpress

So, the images in the slideshow are finally showing, but they are all messed up.
they are all stretched out and to one side, and the thumbnail images at bottom of page are not showing at all.

So, following the instructions on how to install it, from the above link I gave, could you please go step by step with me and help me with these things:
(If you can at least advise me on SOME of this stuff, it would be very helpful).

1 – well, i did unzip the imagerotator file and put the folder into my webFTP directory. i also logged into wordpress as the admin and created a gallery of random images. After which the slideshow was at least sliding. But it’s sliding with all the images being messed up. (Am I missing something here in the first step?)

2 – ok, for this one I have no clue what they’re saying. how do i edit the xml file? and what are track blocks? do i have to go back to the webFTP and add files there, can’t i just upload more jpegs into the gallery section of wordpress?…here i’m already totally lost.

3 – and this one — I know my html page is located within the imagerotator folder which i installed in the webFTP, but i dont know that i can access it through there and add code to it, nor would i trust myself to do so. and is that the only code that i have to imbed? and what about the different directories – didn’t i create the right directory in step #1?…

4 – THEN they get to the FLASHVARS …. and, now, here i’m wondering if maybe i should just forget about ALL the previous steps and just concentrate on figuring out the flashvars, since apparently they are the ones in charge of how the slideshow displays everything?…

I know it’s a lot, but THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your helpful advice with this!!
    Yana
