• When accessing my blog from the actual home page of my website I received a “not found” error in about 50% when trying. What actually happens is that it shows the blog and the search box but the search box is filled with crypted stuff. No menu, no text are available. The only way out is to close the browser windows and try again. In one case I had to clear the cookies and the temporary Internet files.

Any idea why this could be happening?

If you want to try for yourself – https://www.firsttimepregnancy.com – the link to the blog is in the upper left of the menu bar.

    Thanks.

    Chris

  • Hi Chris …

I Love Your Site, and Congrats on the future new addition to your family. My wife and I raised 5 kids and the excitement never goes away. Our best wishes are with you and yours

Now about your blog. My WP 1.5 install is doing the very same thing. Here is the site :

    https://ww.allcritters.com

Click on the podcast link and you will see that everything is fine and works perfectly.

What I have found is that for some very strange reason this address works everytime :

    https://allcritters.com/wp/

however … putting in the “www.” into the link

    https://www.allcritters.com/wp/

I get the very same error you do. That is not the case with others on this forum. I am on a Macintosh, use Firefox, Safari, and IE and it happens everytime. The Windows folks don’t seem to be having the same problem with this, as are the Mac people. I simply do not understand the reasoning behind this.

I really wish someone would jump up and say do this …. and the problem would be fixed. But alas … ??

There are quite a few people that have commented about this very problem. Here is a post I made a few days ago.

I still have my fingers crossed that someone will read through the threads and come up with “something”. ??

    Let’s hope together huh ?

    Hi there

Thanks for your feedback and for wishing us well. We’re very excited as you can tell.

Well, for one thing I am glad that I am not the only one seeing this problem. I’ll work the URL to remove the www for now but overall I would rather see somebody from development taking stand. My feeling is that we are dealing with corrupted cookies or so.

    Chris
