    I have followed the instructions exactly and have the Custom fold in the child-theme/woocommerce/pdf/ directory, but it doesn’t show in the dropdown under general settings. It still only has Simple as a template option. I named the custom theme dir just Custom. Do I need the paid version to get the custom template to show up and use it?

    Hello @m22878,

    No, you do not need the paid version for this. ??
    There must be some sort of error that we aren’t seeing.

    Your template files are like this? This structure below displays my template with no issues:
    custom-template-location

    My custom template in the General tab of the settings:
    custom-template-appearing-in-settings

    I copy/pasted the Simple template to the woocommerce/pdf in my child theme. It has like 5 files in it I think. All I did was rename the dir. I have deactivated and reactivated plugin and it doesn’t show up under the template dropdown. It still only says Simple as the template option. No Custom option.

    @m22878,

    What version of the plugin are you using? Have you modified any plugin files directly?
    What theme are you using?
    Do you by any chance have a caching plugin installed? If yes, which?
    Could you show us the file hierarchy with images, somewhat like mine is showing? You can use imgbb.com to upload images.

    It’s because I didn’t set file permissions of the pdf and custom template dirs. Set to 755 and now it works. You should add that to the instructions for creating custom templates. Make sure to set file permissions of the pdf and template dirs.

    @m22878,

    Thanks for pointing that out. I shared with the team and we’ll include it in the documentation article for Creating a Custom template. ??
