Issue (Error) with theme carrying over to staging website

  • I just created a staging branch for my website, and the staging site went into recovery mode and gave me the error that reads:

    Error: This theme failed to load properly and was paused within the admin backend.

    Anyone have experience with this and can help fix?

  • I’m not 100% sure, but it sounds like there might be a PHP error somewhere. Are the PHP versions the same between staging and production? And are all other things the same? Plugins, themes, WP version, etc.?

    Should be? It was an exact copy of the original site.
