I have an issue on a site where once a user runs through checkout the page refreshes redirecting to the checkout page again. Products show up in the cart as if no order had been placed when it fact it was placed.

This has been causing confusion with customers as they think their order didn’t go through.

Having traced the urls in the workflow the order completes using the Paypal plugin and the page that follows is the order-received page. This page immediately redirects back to the checkout cart so users never see it.

Has anyone else encountered this issue when using this plugin?
We were using another Paypal plugin and it was fine until we switched.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @danielsworld

Thank you for reaching out to us, we are here to help.

I have reviewed our backlog for any existing issues with “order received” page not showing after a successful order/payment, but there are currently no open issues for this.

I would advise performing a full conflict test to rule out eventual issues with the theme or a different plugin. We recommend temporarily activating the default theme Storefront and disabling all other plugins except for?WooCommerce and?PayPal Payments to see if the behavior persists. Here’s a guide that explains the steps in more detail: How to test for conflicts

Another thing that comes to mind: it seems that the payment received webhook might not be received (thus WooCommerce is not responding to it). For this, you should probably also test the webhooks in the “Connection” tab in the plugin settings. You can use the “Simulate” button to see if there is any issue with the communication to/from the PayPal server and use the “Resubscribe button to correct any possible issue if needed.

Please let me know if you need any additional support on this. If you do, we would probably like to review your logs and the system report to identify if your situation might be related to an already known issue. You can copy the log files from here:

    • WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support
    • WooCommerce > Status > Logs > select “woocommerce-paypal-payments…” in the dropdown and click on view.

If you don’t feel comfortable sharing those details on a public forum, please open a ticket with our service desk. You can find the instruction for this here: https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/
(please add the URL of this thread in the ticket as well)

    Pending your response.

    Kind regards,
    Joost
