Hello,

I’m having an issue with the linked website. The taxes are not calculated correctly.

For example, when I have an item for $20.00 and shipping fees as $12.00, I am supposed to get a total of ($4.79) based on a 14.98% (shipped to Quebec) tax rate, but what I get is ($4.16).

I tried changing the taxation settings through WooCommerce dashboard on my WordPress site in many different ways, but I never got the calculation correctly.

Thank you for reaching out!

I can see you’re using a very outdated version of WooCommerce.

As a first step, please try updating WooCommerce and your database to the latest version. Here’s a handy step-by-step guide to help you through the process: https://woocommerce.com/document/how-to-update-woocommerce/.

Before you start, make sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. Most hosting companies have this included in the subscription, but you could also consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, it’s nice to know that you can restore your site.

Next, it’s time to check your theme. Some of its templates are from version 2.6.0, which is very old (back from 2016). :?)

If your theme is still maintained by the author, you can just update it normally. If not, kindly switch to the default Storefront theme temporarily. This will help us identify if the issue is coming from these older theme templates.

Lastly, consider disabling the WooCommerce Local Pickup Plus plugin. It seems to be adding a tax configuration that might be causing some issues (just a guess not based on anything).
