Migrate only copies meta for a few posts. Not custom posts, not pages, nothing else. It’s not reliable.

Even for normal posts, I have 50% of posts copied and 50% lost.

    Hi,

are you sure you had for singular post entered some custom SEO metadata in Yoast?

Because, from post type list, we only display custom ones into the SEO columns.

Global settings defined in SEO, Titles and metas, will be applied on frontend as a fallback automatically.

    I guess this is explanation.

I can see side by side, yoast has items, yours doesn’t. Other people told me to be wary of this too. It’s not new issue.

Maybe you crashed halfway migrating? How do I check what/why? NO pages copied at all. Of course I have no time manually open each to copy from yoast over to yours.

I have mysql access to my host. Can run SQL there if you need

SQL Dump received, we are investigating.

We have successfully migrated Yoast metadata to SEOPress one’s by using our importer (SEO, Tools, Plugins, Yoast, Migrate) and your SQL dump.

Now from the post type list, we can easily compare the 2 meta title columns. We can see a lot of titles and meta description migrated. Some entries are empty because there is not any custom meta title defined, so the global title template will be applied.

I’ve tested again on a fresh clone site.

Copies 90% of posts, 0% pages.

    Sent you email with screenshots.

Clearly crashed/died while doing it, and stopped.

Still no issue on our local setup with your SQL dump.

Can you enable WP Debug first:

    https://www.seopress.org/support/guides/wp_debug-enable-error-logging-in-wordpress/

Then run the migration from SEO, Tools, Plugins please?

Do you see any error in the debug.log file?

After investigation, the problem was cause by a custom plugin installed on the site.

Conclusion: There is no issue with our import tool ??
