I just updated my wordpress and now the MySQL database is growing exponentially. I am not even sure where to start looking. Can someone point out to me how to start troubleshooting this? The only one to post to our WordPress is me so I don’t understand.

What about the database is growing? The filesize, rows, etc?

Most likely its because of the draft revisions. You can delete those if not needed.

Or install a plugin to control them.

    Thanks for the replies.
It was the tables that were growing.
I had inherited a website and the previous webmaster had made a MySQL database naming it wordpress. So I had assumed, until I looked further, it was only for our WordPress module. They had also added a Forum to the site and included the same MySQL database to cover both, WordPress and the Forum. So looking at it with the support of our ISP we realized it was the forum that was infested with an expanding virus. I dumped the forum module and dropped the PHPBB tables and all is well.
    Thanks again for the response.
