    Hello,

After installing this plugin my widget area in Appearance freezes and I can’t add or edit widgets.

I am still able to edit my widgets in the footer and in the header, but I can’t add new ones or edit the ones I prepared and didn’t add to the site yet.

Widgets appear on the pages front-end so visitors can see them, the problem is in Appearance only.

Is there any fix to this in the pipeline? I like your plugin and I’d like to use it but like this it isn’t possible.

For more details, I use Kadence theme on WordPress 6.3.

    Thanks in advance,

    Claudia

    Hi,
    ?
Could you please describe your problem in more detail? What problem do you have and after which actions? Provide a link or screenshots to the page where the problem occurs. Since it is not clear what are you talking about.?

Hi, thanks for replying to my message.

This is the link to my website, where the issue is present: https://digitalbee.one/

I have disabled the plugin until the bug is fixed.

So this is what happens step by step:

    • I installed the plugin
    • French was detected as default language
    • I added the language selector to the menu
    • I went on trying to edit a widget from Dashboard / Appearance / Widget
    • All my widgets are frozen, I could not even visualise them
    • I looked into Customize (from Dashboard / Appearance / Customize) and I can edit the widgets there.
    • As you will be able to see, widgets (header and footer) are visible on the website, so the issue affects only the back end.

I also recently noticed that if I edit my website’s pages, their name changes in the Menu on my website, so visitors also see a different menu name.

For the example, as you can see, the page Communication (available here: https://digitalbee.one/messages-sur-mesure-pour-inspirer-et-etonner/) in the menu appears as simply “Communication”.

However, if the translation plugin is active and I edit that page, the menu name would switch to the page title, and instead of “Communication”, the menu will display “messages-sur-mesure-pour-inspirer-et-etonner”.

When I go and try to restore the name I chose in the menu (Dashboard / Appearance / Menu) this also is frozen so I can’t put back “Communication” instead of “messages-sur-mesure-pour-inspirer-et-etonner”. I have to disable to translation plugin; remove the language selector from the menu and only then I can edit the menu and restore the menu name to “Communication”.

So to sum it up: I am forced to disable the translation plugin to make changes to my widgets and my pages.

I hope this is clear enough. Feel free to to get in touch if you need more explanation.

    Thanks,

    Claudia

    1) Activate a default WordPress theme for a while (Twenty Nineteen or Twenty-Twenty) and check if the problem remains.
