Hi,
I’ll try to reproduce the issue as soon as possible and let you know.
In the meantime, do not hesitate to check your PHP errors logs to find the exact FATAL error related to this issue and paste it here in a private reply.
Regards.
Hello there,
I couldn’t replicate your issue locally, sorry.
Note: Current search add-on version is actually v4.1.0, not 4.0.1
Important: We recently updated WPCA and its add-ons to major versions. I actually suspect that WPCA main plugin is set to be automatically updated on your site. If that’s the case: this is NOT recommended and will definitely create issues from mismatched versions between WPCA main plugin and its add-ons.
I would recommend that you follow our update procedure (disable all add-ons and WPCA, update the add-ons, update WPCA, then re-activate the add-ons and the main plugin).
There you can see the latest compatible versions between add-ons and the main plugin:
"8.2.0": { "customer-area-acf-integration": "7.0.0", "customer-area-bulk-import": "1.1.0", "customer-area-collaboration": "5.1.0", "customer-area-compatibility-divi": "3.1.0", "customer-area-compatibility-elementor": "1.0.0", "customer-area-content-expiry": "2.1.0", "customer-area-conversations": "5.1.0", "customer-area-design-extras": "2.2.0", "customer-area-enhanced-files": "3.1.0", "customer-area-extended-permissions": "6.1.0", "customer-area-ftp-mass-import": "1.1.0", "customer-area-invoicing": "3.1.0", "customer-area-login-form": "6.1.0", "customer-area-managed-groups": "5.1.0", "customer-area-master-demo": "2.1.0", "customer-area-notifications": "7.1.0", "customer-area-owner-restriction": "5.1.0", "customer-area-paypal-gateway": "2.1.0", "customer-area-projects": "6.0.0", "customer-area-protect-post-types": "3.1.0", "customer-area-search": "4.1.0", "customer-area-smart-groups": "3.1.0", "customer-area-stripe-gateway": "2.1.0", "customer-area-switch-users": "5.1.0", "customer-area-tasks": "5.1.0", "customer-area-terms-of-service": "2.1.0", "customer-area-unread-documents": "2.1.0" },
If you really own the search add-on v 4.0.1, and don’t want to update it (it’s up to you), you should stay to WPCA 8.1.2 which is the last version of the plugin marked as compatible with this add-on.
"8.1.2": { "customer-area-acf-integration": "6.0.3", "customer-area-bulk-import": "1.0.0", "customer-area-collaboration": "5.0.2", "customer-area-compatibility-divi": "3.0.3", "customer-area-content-expiry": "2.0.2", "customer-area-conversations": "5.0.3", "customer-area-design-extras": "2.1.1", "customer-area-enhanced-files": "3.0.2", "customer-area-extended-permissions": "6.0.1", "customer-area-ftp-mass-import": "1.0.0", "customer-area-invoicing": "3.0.3", "customer-area-login-form": "6.0.2", "customer-area-managed-groups": "5.0.1", "customer-area-master-demo": "2.0.1", "customer-area-notifications": "7.0.4", "customer-area-owner-restriction": "5.0.2", "customer-area-paypal-gateway": "2.0.1", "customer-area-projects": "5.0.3", "customer-area-protect-post-types": "3.0.2", "customer-area-search": "4.0.1", "customer-area-smart-groups": "3.0.2", "customer-area-stripe-gateway": "2.0.1", "customer-area-switch-users": "5.0.2", "customer-area-tasks": "5.0.3", "customer-area-terms-of-service": "2.0.1", "customer-area-unread-documents": "2.0.1" },
You can find versions compatibilites as JSON in customer-area/versions.json.
Best regards.
Thomas,
Thank you for attempting to reproduce our issue. We do have a current subscription to five commercial add-ons (Pack Essentials bundle); although, we use the free WP Customer Area plugin.
What is the best way to roll back the WPCA plugin from version 8.2.0 to 8.1.2, please? I don’t see how to do this from the plugins page on our Website.
Also, I still must discuss with my colleagues your suggestion for reverting to version 8.1.2.
Thanks!

Hi,
What is the best way to roll back the WPCA plugin
Instead of attempting to rollback, since you have a current subscription, I would recommend that you update the add-ons and plugin to latest versions, which should fix the issue.
- Disable WPCA and its add-ons
- Download the add-ons from your account page
- Update the add-ons, then reactivate the plugin and its add-ons
If you still want to rollback, I can still then you some download links privately. Please post a request on our main support forums in that case.
Regards.
