• There are a lot of choices when it comes to coming soon and maintenance pages. This one includes a built-in Otter Blocks-based subscription form that barely functions.

    • It’s too difficult to find where to adjust the form.
    • Although the form includes a “Name” field, the export feature excludes the field and only stores the email address and subscription date.
    • The MailChimp/SendBlue integration vaguely claims there’s an invalid API key no matter how many times you try to carefully copy & paste.
    • The “empty subscriber” button is right next to the download button, so you can lose your entire hard-earned database of followers in just a click or two!
    • The form (which is edited through a different location than the storage location) claims to offer custom success and error messages. Customizations are ignored.

Getting any of these to work may require you to pay for “Otter Blocks Pro” which will cost you no less than $49 per year! (I’m not convinced it would actually work, either.)

Such a simple task has been poorly executed. What a shame, because the few free layouts you can choose from look halfway decent.

  • Hi @toneee,

We’re sorry to hear about the difficulties encountered! I can assure you that there is no need to have an Otter Pro subscription in order for the form to work. The form can be edited from the editor and you can find the dedicated documentation for that here. Regarding the other issues, we always assist our users with any difficulties they may encounter, so we’d be glad to take a closer look and assist you in solving the problems if you’d like to create a new topic describing them. I checked the forum, but I couldn’t find any topic created by you where these issues were reported.

    Thank you!
