We are using our Events page as our homepage. I am a WP newbie and my boss would like me to change the following on this page:

    1. He wants to remove the Read More from the previews and have the previews (Events) page show the full text of the blurbs (not shortened). Is that possible?

    2. He wants to have the hyperlinks in the event blurbs to show up on the Events preview page.

How do I change our settings to make both of these things possible?

    Thanks!

    Hi @carriehun ,

Thank you for reaching out, and I’m sorry to learn of the difficulties.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a setting in the admin dashboard to accomplish both changes. However, these can be fulfilled by doing template file customization.

Override the template file?\wp-content\plugins\the-events-calendar\src\views\v2\list\event\description.php to your own theme by copying the said template file to?[theme or child-theme folder]\tribe\events\v2\list\event\description.php

Changing $event->excerpt to the_content() on the copied file in your theme/child theme folder should do the trick.

I want to note here that as per our Support Policy, we cannot provide full support for Customization or third-party integrations, even if we have a guide on our Knowledge base. It is still up to you as the end-user to implement this.
