When I try to view a image file in the media library, I get the following error msg:

    “Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access /WordPress/wp-content/uploads/arn_store.jpg on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

The file is there. This was working fine and suddenly stopped working so I can place an image from the library in a post but it doesn’t show when I open the post, just shows and empty box where the image should be. Do I need to wipe out my WP site and start over or is there a simple fix anyone might be able to suggest.

    Thanks,

I can’t even insert an image when I select the URL option and point to another site but it works when using the banner ad feature. Something is wrong with WP. I like the product but if something that should be straightforward has to keep me down then I’m tempted to look for a different solution. No images show up except banner images. What is up with this product? Even in the admin panel. Yet if I install WP in another website it works fine.

Have you contacted your hosting provider yet? This could be a server configuration issues. Especially since you have the right permissions on the files, they still can’t be read, and WP works perfectly elsewhere.

OK it appears to be an issue on my hosting side. Appears I enabled hotlink protection and added domain.com but not https://www.domain.com

This has resolved the problem. Thanks.
