Hi there, please help me to tackle this problem.

When I try upload files in the library, a white thumbnails appears but the file does not upload.

I deactivated all plugins, changed theme, changed file permissions, tried different browser.

When I click on the thumbnail and then [inspect], I get the following messages:

“Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()”

    AND:

“A page or script is accessing at least one of navigator.userAgentnavigator.appVersion, and navigator.platform. Starting in Chrome 101, the amount of information available in the User Agent string will be reduced.

To fix this issue, replace the usage of navigator.userAgentnavigator.appVersion, and navigator.platform with feature detection, progressive enhancement, or migrate to navigator.userAgentData.

Note that for performance reasons, only the first access to one of the properties is shown.

    AFFECTED FILE

    load-scripts.php:1″

So I checked the path and this file in Library, went to FileZilla to search the file there, but it simply does not exist there.

How to find the cause of the problem(s)?

Or what can I do to fix this?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Marj

  • Hello, in wp-admin, please check Tools > Site Health > Status

    • Does any issue or recommended improvement stand out that might explain the Media Library problem?

Then please check under the Site Health > Info tab

    • Directories and Sizes – are the numbers here well within your web hosting disk space?

    Hi,

The site health scan did not yield any insight.

I checked and adapted the PHP settings for sizes and that also did not solve the problem.

I finally discovered that some plugin had generated one or more .htaccess files, which I removed and that solved it.
