I maintain a store where sometimes, the store sales people place orders using their user and we need to have analytics on them.

The thing is that in analytics I don’t see any way to filter any report by user.

As in the end they act as if they were customers (although the billing and shipping address changes), having a filter to filter by customer would be enough, but I only see filter by customer type.

Is there any way to do it?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi @carazo

Currently, WooCommerce Analytics provides filters for numerous parameters, however, filtering by user or customer is not directly available. The default filters include parameters like order status, product, variations, coupon, and customer type, among others.

However, there are a few workarounds that you might consider.

    • Custom Development: You could hire a developer to create a custom solution for you. They could potentially create a custom filter in your WooCommerce Analytics that allows you to filter by user. Please note, this would require a good understanding of WooCommerce’s inner workings and coding knowledge.
    • Use a Plugin: Several third-party plugins provide advanced analytics for WooCommerce and may include the feature you’re looking for, such as WooCommerce Google Analytics Pro, and Product Sales Report Pro for WooCommerce. I recommend researching and choosing a reputable plugin that suits your needs.
    • Use of Customer Notes: You can use the Customer Note feature to input the name of the salesperson who made the sale. Later, you can filter or search these notes to get the information you need.
    • Customers Report: The Customers Report provides insight into the customers of your store including Orders count, Total Spend, and Average Order Value.
    • Filter Order by Customer: You could filter order data by a customer from WooCommerce > Orders and manually analyze your data.
    • Export and Filter Data: You could export your order data to a CSV file and then use spreadsheet software (like Excel or Google Sheets) to filter and analyze your data.

While these are not direct solutions, they can potentially help you achieve what you’re looking for. We understand the need for this feature and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve. It would be great to have you add your ideas as a feature request, which is where developers go to look for future plugin features and improvements.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Thanks!
