Recipe Press Plugin and Permalinks Help Needed

Hi all,

First of all thanks a lot for your help, i’m stuck with this since a long time…

I would like to customize the Recipe Press plugin’s permalink structure (I use the 1.1 version).

The actual structure I can’t change is
https://www.mysite.com/archives/recipes/recipe-name

I would like to translate it in french + remove “archives” + add “.html” like this:
https://www.mysite.com/recettes/recipe-name.html

But after many time spent on this, I still can’t figure this out… As soon as I remove the “archives” in the default permalink, the recipe page are broken, and when I add a recipe, by default there is automatically archives/recipes added…

I can’t upgrade to the latest version of recipe press because I’ve made many changes and I guess if I update the plugin all my changes will be removed.

I tried to change recipe-press.php file in “rewrite rules” part but it didn’t work:
/* Add rules for recipes */
$rewrite_rules = $wp_rewrite->generate_rewrite_rules(‘recettes/’);
$rewrite_rules[‘recettes/?$’] = ‘index.php?paged=1’;

Could you please tell me what should be changed to accomplish this task?
