• I had a deeply disappointing experience with directorist (com) after purchasing their one year pro version. Despite paying a considerable amount for the software, I received absolutely no support whatsoever. The lack of assistance and communication from the company left me frustrated and regretful about my decision to invest in their product.

In conclusion, I strongly advise against investing in directorist.com a Product of wpwax.com one year version or any of their products. Their lack of support and failure to address customer concerns make them an unreliable and untrustworthy choice. I regret my decision to do business with them and hope this review serves as a warning to others seeking reliable software solutions.

  • Hi Nick. I’m confused by the 5-stars?

I have not had a great experience with WPWax / Directorist and have spent weeks ironing out issues in the PHP (number formatting, layout, spacing, etc – it’s a lengthy list) and have had to exchange dozens of emails – many of which get no reply – especially the ones that get ‘escalated to the development team’.

I can only assume it did not go through rigorous testing before being rolled out for sale and that is why, anyone who tries to build anything beyond a single directory with very basic feature set, runs into endless issues.

The rating must be one star for sure. I have now edited it accordingly.

    Much better… ??

Hi @martinkoss I am looking at Hivepress

Hi Nick @merlinm034 and @martinkoss do you have experience with Hivepress, I also tried with Directorist, but obviously this won’t work, I will later write a separate review related to Directorist and what I went through in the last 5 months with them.

    Thank you

Hi (@milanbg) based on my needs, I can recommend HivePress for creating additional custom fields for listings like yes/no, selections, et cetera; it excels in this aspect. However, I’ve identified a lack of HivePress functionality in terms of recurring subscription payments for listings through WooCommerce, a feature that I believe Directorist can fulfil.

    Hi @merlinm034

thanks for the message and recommendations.

I will see for Hivepress, also some other plugins to check, because Directorist can’t work, full of bugs and bad codes.

I will post a special review for Direktorist later.
I will wait for them for a few more days.

    Thank you

I’ve also run into endless issues. Their support documents often do not match their latest releases. And I’ve found that the support docs sometimes claim capabilities or features that the software simply doesn’t have.

I should have had phase 1 of my site completed 4 weeks ago, but I’m basically still at square 1 because I just keep hitting more and more walls with Directorist. At this point, I don’t know if it’s realistic for me to invest time into learning all of the intricacies of another directory plugin as I need to get SOME FORM of the site live by Thursday. But I’d hate to get my users accustomed to this plugin, only to change it in a couple of months after testing other plugins.

I’m utterly disappointed with the support as well. I also bought a year-long membership. The support is slow to respond, and when they do they are often unable to fix the issue. To date, I haven’t had ANY of my issues resolved 100%. This has been a very unfortunate experience.

I’ve been developing websites since 2004. I”m not a beginner.

Just wanted to add that I am also trying to use Directorist and it’s a nightmare, for sure! Their support borders on comically bad, but instead of being funny, it’s just frustrating.

Wondering if there’s anyone here that’s used it successfully that has tips to share?

am facing multiple issues with directorist , even after activating all the extensions there are many settings of extensions which are not visible under the directorist settings and also when am adding listing in my site its shoeing critical error.. can anyone help ?

Remove your plugin in backend hosting (as it failed to be deleted in wordpress backend) but still see conflict!

CRITICAL Cannot declare class Willy_Walker_CategoryDropdown, because the name is already in use in /home/customer/www/mydomain.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/directorist/includes/classes/class-multiple-cat.php on line 3

please advise how to clean it.

    Hi @happyguy99

Thank you for reaching out. It appears that this is a site-specific issue. If you are still experiencing this problem, please contact our support channel or use our live chat service. We will investigate the matter and work to resolve the issue on your website.

If anyone arrives here to report an issue, we kindly request that you post a new thread on www.remarpro.com. We prioritize addressing new threads as promptly as possible, as it is challenging to locate requests within the comment sections of other threads.

    Kind Regards
