Wrong date in Gigs Calendar sidebar widget

I have a problem with the Gigs Calendar plugins sidebar widget:

All gigs listed show todays date, rather than the actual date of the gig. I’ve tried a couple of things, like downgrading the plugin, tried different settings for the date format, but the problem seems to persist. I’ve also tried finding out whether other people have had this problem, and all I have found was this unresolved thread: https://url.ie/7cge

Anyone have any ideas what could cause this? I’m using wp 3.0.1 and gigs calendar 0.4.9.
