  • Hi @virtual03

we have the problem that the thank you page is only visible with a password. how can we solve this problem?

From what I understand, you’re experiencing difficulty with the visibility of your ‘Thank You’ page, which currently requires a password to view.

I’ve performed some cross-testing for us today on my site with the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce, and our free <u>Storefront</u> theme as the only enabled software. When doing so, I’ve been unable to replicate the issue you described.

To help us figure out what’s going on, could you send us a copy of your site’s System Status? This will give us a clearer picture of your site’s setup and help us pinpoint the problem. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

Additionally, could you also provide us with the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

Once you’ve copied each, you can paste them in your response here, or use https://pastebin.com/ to paste it there and share it with us.

Keep us posted on what you find!

Same here. Not allowed to send the logs.

    Hi Tamrat,

Thank you for your answer and for finding the problem.

it still exists, possibly worldwide, but very few people know about it.

you can easily reproduce the problem on your website with storefront. install 3 plugins ( see screenshot )

    otherwise please look here

    best regards

From those three plugins, I also use woocommerce and Payment plugins for Stripe WooCommerce.
But disabling “Payment plugins for Stripe WooCommerce” does not help now. When I re-view the “thankyou” page for my order, I always see the login form, instead the normal “thankyou” page.
It seems as if the order (post) itself is marked “private”, and anytime I want to see its thankyou page, I only get to see the login form. If that makes any sense…

Nope… that’s not it. It’s the same for the “thankyou” page of very old orders, too.

I rolled back this commit: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/commit/1cd947a32064bf3b716521110eae2856711ab775

    in the file
    /plugins/woocommerce/includes/shortcodes/class-wc-shortcode-checkout.php

in my installation, and it solved the problem.

    Hello @virtual03,

I tried to recreate the issue on my test site, but had no luck. Am I missing something? :\

I also found no recent reports about this on GitHub.

Could you please attach a copy of your site’s System Status report? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support” (after you scroll down a bit)”. Once done, please paste it here in your reply or via a text-sharing service like https://gist.github.com/.

The mentioned PR above should ask the customer to log in only if they’re reviewing an order that’s not theirs or if they’re not logged in.

Look forward to hearing back from you.
