I needed to re-do all the watermarks and there seems to be a bug. Here’s what’s happening:

    1. Global Settings –> Watermark –> Reset watermark [ OK ]
    2. Global Settings –> Watermark –> Set watermark. Settings are: color=black, opacity=20% which should produce light gray, transparent text.
      • it works correctly when used in the gallery view –> bulk actions –> Set watermark
      • if used here in global settings, Opacity is ignored and I get 100% black text.

As a workaround I could go to each gallery and do it from there, but there’s too many and some pictures are used in more than one, so I’d need to be careful not to run it twice on the same picture.

    Hi,

Please note that the issue is because there are the same image in two different galleries and the same watermark is setting twice when trying from global options.

    Thanks!

Well, this is not exactly true. A few images do exist in 2 galleries, but for the most of them, only one. Again, there are two ways to batch-watermark more than one picture: via the gallery editing (and that works, as long as indeed you don’t watermark the image twice) and thru the Gallery Plugin global settings. The latter one clearly has a glitch and watermark has no transparency, when set to black – it’s 100% black (#000000).

    Hi,

We have tested it again, and it works properly when there are no repeated images in galleries. Please make sure that the images do not repeat in galleries, so, the watermark will not be doubled when you set it from Gallery Plugin global settings.

    Thanks!

So you’re sure you’ve tested it thru GLOBAL SETTINGS –> WATERMARK, not thru the gallery view? It certainly does not work correct for me. I have 45 galleries (so it would be difficult to recreate the watermark via each gallery settings). Only one small gallery reuses a few pictures, so with opacity at 20% it still would not be 100% black. But unfortunately it is. Every picture has 100% black watermark looking like crap.

Second of all, I don’t see why having a picture in two galleries would be a good excuse for this feature not to work correctly…

    Hi,

Please note that the logic is that the same image can’t be used in more than one gallery, and in the other hand we can bypass this by setting up a watermark from a gallery page, so, unfortunately, we are not going to fix this.

    Thanks!
