Fonts and Colors… .I’m totally lost

I am so totally lost it’s not even funny. I have a very bare website. The little bit that is there has taken me over a year to accomplish. I want to change font but everything I am reading I can’t accomplish because when I go to customize there is nothing that says “font”. On the content page you can’t see the boxes because of the colors and I want to change that but can’t figure out how. Can SOMEBODY help me? I am not computer illiterate. I use to have a blog on blogger and had no problems. It was so easy but WordPress it making me lose my religion. I just can NOT grasp it. I don’t even like how it displayed my first blog post. Ugh! Somebody have pity on my please? ??
