• I’ve tried working with the developers of the plugin “The Events Calendar” for years, but fundamentally their business model and practice is just about the worst I have ever dealt with in years of building with WordPress. I have a premium ($300/year) plugin, the “Events Tickets Plus” that stops functioning when they release an update, despite having a valid license, and with no way to auto update the plugin. How is this allowed on the WordPress platform?

    As the “premium” version has nothing to do with the version on this site, why would you believe that a plugin here should be removed?

    Unless the version here violates the plugin guidelines, and what you described is nowhere near that, there is no reason to remove that plugin from this site.

    You have a problem with the “premium” version. That’s not a topic for this site ever.

    I’m only warning people away from the premium version; because there’s no where to review the premium version otherwise. If I had known about it, I never would have purchased it, and now I’m stuck with it until I can put together another solution. I think that’s worth letting people know about.
