• Instagram suddenly recognized it as a third party service to gain more followers and likes, and blocked my account this week: “Sharing your account with a service that helps you get more likes or followers goes against our Community Guidelines.”

Unfortunately, I cannot afford to lose my Instagram account and all my business income, all my work because of it. Instagram blocks your account and there’s nothing you can do but wait. It’s terrible. It’s totally a mistake, but it’s not worth the risk, seriously. No response from Smash Balloon either. Running away.

Solution: If you’re looking for a Instagram feed on your website, simply install the plugin and take a screenshot of the looks and use a JPG instead of the feed plugin. It’s really not worth taking the risk, trust me.

    Hey @carvalhomanzon,

Thank you for leaving a review. We can assure you that it is unlikely that this is related to our plugin. If you have received specific information about this that identifies our app as the issue, then please reach out to support so we can address this immediately.

I can understand that you believe there may be a connection here. Find below all the necessary information to confirm that this is not the case – there is very limited access to ‘Do’ anything to your account.

Please rest assured that our usage of the API has to go through a thorough process called an?App Review?and Facebook and Instagram would also quickly shut down unauthorized and unsafe usage of these different permissions. As such, if our app was flagged on your end our entire app would be taken down from Instagram, which is not the case.

If you have any other questions please let us know, and if there is any other way we can bring our plugin to a 5-star experience for you.

    Many thanks,
    Joel
