    Hallo,

the plugin worked well for a long time. It seems that since an update it no longer does that properly.

Example: On the page “Tomato Chili Chutney” there should be four outgoing links:

    1. “Chutney” (1st paragraph, 1st line).
    2. “Tomaten-Wildpflaumen-Chutney” (2nd paragraph, 1st line)
    3. “Tomaten” (3rd paragraph, 1st line)
    4. “Marmelade” (under the 1st picture, 1st paragraph, 3rd line)
    5. “Chutney” (heading “- cooking”, 5th item)

Also, “Tomaten-Chili-Chutney” is not displayed in the link statistic. Strangely, there are posts where links are linked correctly with the plugin, but not in others. Even after I rebuilt the index and cleared the cache, nothing changed.

What could be the reason for this? I am at a loss.

    WordPress: 6.2.2
    Internal Link Juicer: 2.1.2
    Theme: Blocksy
    Pagebuilder: Gutenberg
    Cache: WPRocket

    Thanks, Inga

    Thank you for contacting us.

I see you mentioned you have rebuilt the index right? Is it from the rebuild button on the dashboard? https://prnt.sc/ZtkxBYSWfFfT . It is also helpful to check the Action Scheduler, if there are failing tasks from our plugin: https://prnt.sc/YCuADTbzGkVJ our plugin’s actions starts with “ilj_” .

Can you send a screenshot of your ILJ settings? and any error logs that could point to our plugin? this would help us determine the issue.

    Thank you

    Thanks for the screenshots.

Yes, I rebuilt the the button on the dashboard. Because I have a copy of my blog on a subdomain. There everything is works. By trying to find the mistake i tried everything. Also to rebuilt the index.

I f helpfull I can send you screenshots from the action scheduler. But for what specific are you looking for? The action scheduler has 129 pages with “ilj_” (2023-05-19 – 2023-06-18). Alternately I can offer you a temporary login without password.

    Thank you!

I see, thank you but we are not able to accept logins here, as it is a WordPress forum rule, and also for your site’s security.

Regarding the action scheduler, we are looking if you have some failed action here, you should see a failed tab here: https://prnt.sc/x0lRTolFVgbH any failed actions regarding our plugin could help us determine the issue.

You mentioned the plugin works properly in your subdomain and the links are generated there right? This tells us that there could be some conflicts in this site (the one you have issues with) , any error log that points to our plugin could help us determine the cause of the issue.

It is also a possibility that the page you are trying to link is added to the blacklist here that’s why it is not linking? https://prnt.sc/FdnWYms6LngS

    Thank you

Thank you for explaining that no links are accepted. This was just an idea to make the problem easier to solve.

I have 16 failed actions in the action planner. None of them belong to the Internal Link Juicer. Screenshots for you:

Screenshots for dich:

Maybe you have an explanation for this.

Attached I send you screenshots of the settings I made in the Internal Link Juicer. Maybe you see something I should change. The example post “Tomato Chili Chutney” has ID 6142 and is not blacklisted.

If you need more information, let me. It is very important for me that the Internal Link Juicer works reliably.

    Thank you,

    Inga

I see, you have more links generated in the subdomain versus your main one. Are your keywords and posts all the same in the subdomain and the main one? Also the settings right they are the same?

I don’t see anything that could cause this behavior currently. Although may I ask what theme or builder are you using? Also are there any plugins installed on the main site and not on the subdomain that you think affects the post contents in any way?

If there is no failed actions on the scheduler, our link building process should have finished properly. Can I ask are you on a litespeed web server? (cause there was some reports that it kills processes that exceeds it’s time limit) (https://www.wordfence.com/help/advanced/system-requirements/litespeed/)

    Thank you

The difference in content between subdomain and the main domain is:
    Subdomain vs. main

    • published posts: 130 vs. 147
    • published pages: 17 vs. 19
    • CPT “Bücher”/posts: 25 vs. 27
    • CPT “Zutaten”/posts: 3 vs. 11
    • links in the index: 220 vs. 234
    • configured keywords: 292 vs. 352

All posts and pages are identical except for those that are newly added. I migrated a copy of my blog to the subdomain using the duplicator.

When I set up the CPT “Ingredients”, I deleted some taxonomies on the main domain that were no longer useful. It may be that I also deleted some keywords for the Internal Link Juicer in this context, but I don’t remember that. Is there any way I can find out if there are differences between posts (sub vs. main) without having to open each post?

Also the settings in the Internal Link Juicer are the same. I checked this yesterday. So yes I don’t understand why the internal linking has so many differences.

As already written, I use Blocksy with Gutenberg.
The only plugins that are NOT installed on the subdomain are Updraft and WPRocket. I already suspected WPRocket to influence the internal linking. But nothing changed after I disabled WPRocket.
All plugins are updated on both domains immediately when there is a new update.

I don’t use Lite Speed Server and neither does Wordfence. Even if I did, it would be on both domains.

Do you need more information? let me know. Or do you want to try something? No problem.

    Thank you

Thank you for the additional informations.

I see, there is quite a difference between the subdomain and main domain, it would be normal that it has different links generated. However, that would not explain why some post you expected to link does not link.

    In your example:

Example: On the page “Tomato Chili Chutney” there should be four outgoing links:

    1. “Chutney” (1st paragraph, 1st line).
    2. “Tomaten-Wildpflaumen-Chutney” (2nd paragraph, 1st line)
    3. “Tomaten” (3rd paragraph, 1st line)
    4. “Marmelade” (under the 1st picture, 1st paragraph, 3rd line)
    5. “Chutney” (heading “- cooking”, 5th item)

You are expecting this page to have 5 outgoing links right? https://jahreszeitenkueche.de/tomaten-chili-chutney/ Are the keywords set in their particular posts already? Example: “Chutney” is already set on another post right as a keyword?

Is there any way I can find out if there are differences between posts (sub vs. main) without having to open each post?

I’m not sure how you would be able to do this, if you are particularly looking for a difference in post’s contents, but if you are looking into checking if there are some differences in the keywords that you have set you can export a copy of our CSV file that should contain your keywords here: https://prnt.sc/QB4osGQCrs8Y you can compare the sub domain vs the main domain.

    Thank you

You know what I made today? With Duplicator I made an exact copy of my blog to see what happens. This is axact 1:1 except WPRocket. This plugin I had to delete.
After that I rebuilt the index on both sites The diffenrecies are very strange:

Some more Screenshots for from the example-post “Tomaten-Chili-Chutney” (stage). All keywords are set in their particular posts. I checked that.Don’t wonder that there now more internal loinks than before. I just create content for the CPT “Zutaten”

Any idea to explain this difference? Or do I have to set something somewhere that I’m not thinking of? I am at a loss.

    Thank you, Inga

I had just the idea, to rebuilt the index again to see what happens now. Strange, isn’t it?

    Plugin Support markilj

    (@markilj)

    Yes that is strange.

In your main, I see the index tells it has 0 links right? but it shows something on the statistics below? did you refresh the dashboard after the rebuild? (take note it does not automatically update after rebuilding so you may need to refresh to see the updated version) if it is 0 it should say that it has nothing on the index.

Although it is also strange that you have 0 links in your main site, this tells that there could really be something on the main site that conflicts with the plugin, if the subdomain is working properly. If it is 0 the link index would have failed actions at some point? or an error might have occurred. An error log would be helpful to have an idea on what went wrong.

    Thank you

No, I didn’t cleared the cache (WPRocket + Browser). I did that right now:
    https://jahreszeitenkueche.de/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/ilj20.jpg

After that I deactivated WPRocket and refreshed the index again:
    https://jahreszeitenkueche.de/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/ilj21.jpg

After activating WPRocket again, I refreshed the index once again:
    https://jahreszeitenkueche.de/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/ilj22.jpg

Then, I activated the debug mode und refreshed the index again:
    https://jahreszeitenkueche.de/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/ilj23.jpg

It tooks a long time until the index was refreshed. So I thought nothing was happening so I restarted the process. (You will see that in the debug.log):
    https://jahreszeitenkueche.de/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/debug.log

Is that helpfull for you? Anything else I can do?

It is still strange, but it seems that WPRocket is the cause.

Nevertheless the differences between the main and subdomain are still very large.

    Thanks, Inga

    Plugin Support markilj

    (@markilj)

So after you rebuilt the index are the links you are looking for are already built?

It seems normal to have a difference between the main and subdomain given what you sent us you have different numbers of posts and keywords on the domain and subdomain:

    • published posts: 130 vs. 147
    • published pages: 17 vs. 19
    • CPT “Bücher”/posts: 25 vs. 27
    • CPT “Zutaten”/posts: 3 vs. 11
    • links in the index: 220 vs. 234
    • configured keywords: 292 vs. 352

Although, it is best to observe and test some more. The index rebuild should be consistent and not change results every other rebuild (unless a drastic change has been made)

    Thank you

    (@frauinga)

There is a misunderstanding here. I have migrated a duplicate of the main domain to a new subdomain. Apart from WPRocket, the new subdomain (stage) is 100% identical to the main domain. And yet fewer internal links are set there than on the subdomain. Please have a look at the new scrrenshots I posted 2 days ago.

    Thank you, Inga

    Plugin Support markilj

    (@markilj)

I see, if that is the case, there might be a conflict with WP Rocket on your main site. If you say that the new subdomain is 100% identical to the main it is right to assume that you should have the same number of links for both domains.

Unfortunately, currently, we are unable to pinpoint the issue yet, but we are investigating the matter.

    Thank you

I’ve been a few days out of office.

Thank you for your reply. Is there any idea how to solve the problem? Or shall I ask the support of WPRocket too?
