So, I used pod’s block to display a pod’s form in a frontend page. However, featured image field and taxonomies’ don’t appear in the page to be filled in even though “not custom” fields like author and content do.

Is there a way to do that?

    Hi @junkes

Did you check the capabilities for these objects? Users require the correct capabilities to upload media and modify taxonomies.
Besides this, do you see any notices/errors in your browser console?

    Cheers, Jory

Thank you, @keraweb. The thing is even with the admin user it didn’t happen; no notices or erros, though. And I didn’t find anything about allowing front end submission of featured image; I even tried downloading a capability plugin, but didn’t find anything that could change that.

It looks like we have some work to do here to support featured images. The frontend forms haven’t been tested by me for featured images yet and that may mean you’re encountering some issue that we need to add some logic for there.

Got it, @sc0ttkclark, thank you for your reply. Is there anything you recommend me to do to work around that, at least for the moment?

I don’t have a workaround as the fix required a few changes in the PodsAPI class that don’t make for a clean code snippet.

I was able to resolve this in the upcoming Pods 3.0 which goes into release candidate stage tomorrow and should hopefully release in the coming week or two if all goes well.

That’s nice. Thanks, @sc0ttkclark. I’ll wait for the 3.0 then.
