So I have a site, say abc.com (only an example) whose homepage setting is “Your homepage displays: your latest posts”

That’s fine because that’s how I want it. The problem is, I made a page called Home and added it to the menu, so it shows on the top right when abc.com is opened. However, when I click it, it takes me to abc.com/home, whereas I want it to take me to abc.com (where I already was). The page editor won’t let me put nothing in the permalink box.
This is important because there will only be one other page/menu item called “About”, so the homepage should be Home.

Another thing. If possible, how can I make the Home button in the menu colored when a visitor is on abc.com, but make it black/default when the visitor opens the About page? I have elementor if that changes anything. Thanks. I posted this on the general forum, but the moderator recommended I post it here.

    Hello,

Setting a page as your home page is done in the wordpress settings.

Go to your dashboard, then go to Settings > Reading > Homepage > Static page, then choose the page you created to be the home page.

After that, going to your domain will go to that page.
    Guide: https://wordpress.com/learn/bonus-round-get-a-home-page/

If you have elementor pro, you can click the menu in your header and design a style for the home page to have an active color. If you have elementor free, then you will need to check the settings of your theme to see if it has an option to set active colors for the menu links.

    Best regards!
