    Hi,

I noticed that some function changed automatically, maybe after updating to the latest version?

On the order page, the checkbox “Click here to receive an invitation from CusRev (an independent third party organization) to review your order” appears at the bottom.

How to pay it off? that is, he wants the email to be sent with the invitation to evaluate the product without giving this consent.

I really want this feature to be always active and not require consent. A few days ago it worked like that, I thought that the new update changed something but even after the rollback it doesn’t work again. What happened?

    thanks in advance
    Adrian

I checked other posts on forum and you propose to switch for NO VERIFICATION OPTION. we will lose linking to your website, what is a loss.

Can it works as in past? Indepedently verified + no info about consent checkbox (no checkbox in order and automatically set as consent accepted)?

voluntary consent will be a big loss for me – for the last 10 orders, I see that no one gave it voluntarily, and when I sent it automatically, half of the orders received a review …

    Thank you very much ??

@daringlight I updated plugin and there is still checkbox to accept consent. I see no option in settings to disable that thing… My template is FLATSOME..

    @pistachio6321 – Could you explain this? |
why are you now putting us in front of a choice:
    – or the client voluntarily indicates consent and in practice hardly anyone will do it
    – or you don’t have to ask for permission, but there is no integration as an external verifier (reduced credibility).
    This seems silly

I understand that the client must be aware that he will be asked to rate, which is why I have included such information in the website’s regulations. after all, the customer must confirm such regulations, so it is 2 in 1.

what’s more – I use preinvoice very often and manually enter orders into wordpress, in such a system I will completely lose the possibility of obtaining reviews from customers whom I enter manually

please let me know if you plan to change your policy, something that worked for me for 2 years becomes useless and switching to “NO VERIFICATION” involves a loss of credibility, which I can’t afford. I will have to resign completely if I am to be faced with such a dilemma.

After all, it is logical that the customer accepts the store’s regulations and we should have a choice whether we want a checkbox or simply inform the customer that he agrees to receive the opportunity to evaluate the product. It is the responsibility of sellers and store owners to maintain legal regulations

    Hi @cometto

Please update CusRev to the new version 5.28.1 to have the option to enable/disable Customer Consent check box on the settings page Reviews > Settings > Review Reminder.

@pear8398 its not about version, mine is the same. its about your strategy – you turned off this option for independently verified

    Thanks for using our plugin!

Our plugin is a free open source software that you can install on your WordPress website. The plugin is distributed with a GPL license. The plugin runs on your server and provides a best-in-class reviews functionality for WordPress sites. It does NOT require you to obtain consent from customers, and you can use it in any way permitted by the GPL license.

In addition to the plugin, we also provide a service for verification of reviews and publishing verified copies of reviews on the CusRev.com website. Integration with the service can be activated from the plugin using the “Verified reviews” setting. Your usage of the service is regulated by our terms and conditions that require you to obtain consent from customers before sending them review invitations.

If you do not want to be bound by the terms and conditions of our service for verification of reviews and ask for consent from customers, please deactivate the service by setting the “Verified reviews” option to “No verification” in the plugin’s settings (on the “Review Reminder” tab). After that, the plugin will still be fully functional, and you can use it for collecting reviews in a way that you prefer.

in my case switching to no verification option results in:

    • link to review doesn’t work properly -> for testing order I received an email with leave a review button 404 (https://liveflooring.com/cusrev/64824be6cf1d9 – this is the link for review button, 404). testing order has also link: https://liveflooring.com/cusrev/test – i cannot even open aggregated review form
    • I will lose credibility because these opinions will not be attached to the general cusrev business card, which I present as a banner in several places.
This will make me have to turn it off completely because if I collected a lot of opinions until June 1, 2023 and after that time I collected 0 of them on the official website, it means that something is wrong

Please consider these suggestions to resolve the issues you reported:

    1. Please check that our plugin is activated. If the plugin is disabled, links to review forms will not work, and you will get a 404 error. Try to enable the plugin and re-check the same links.
    2. “Trust Badges” feature works with the “No verification” setting as well. It will display the count of reviews from the database of your WordPress website.

I found the cause – asset cleanup pro.

However, I found another problem. An invitation to send a review can be done in 2 places:

    1. CUSREV PLUGIN -> reminders -> there is a button ‘send now’ which is not working
    2. woocommerce -> actions -> envelope icon

And here is a problem. Option 2, i.e. woocommerce, immediately sends email, while option 1, after pressing ‘send now’ does nothing and behaves strangely:

The difference between the places 1 and 2 is that the place 1 uses WP Cron for sending a review reminder. If it isn’t working on your website, there might be an issue with WP Cron. To troubleshoot it, please install ‘WP Crontrol’ plugin and check if scheduled events are correctly executed.
