• The error in the title occurs whenever I try to embed a sign up form (Mailerlite) or Mostadon post in custom HTML block on my new widget blocks editor or the block editor in a blog post.

I already checked the issue while in debug mode and got this error when opening the widget block editor: “wp-editor” script should not be enqueued together with the new widgets editor (wp-edit-widgets or wp-customize-widgets).”

On the other hand, in the blog post block editor I get only the red Jason error without any debug error notice.

I tried deactivating all my blog plugins and changing the theme to the default one (the 2023 theme), remaining the same Jason errors while updating my sign up form HTML code and Mostadon embed post.

I also tried Insta’s free limited-time site sandbox once to see if I could reproduce the issue. So I installed on Insta sandbox the same theme I have on my Bluehost blog and all the relevant plugins, and I could update a Mostadon post and also my sign up form code there with no issues.

This Jason error persists and it’s annoying. I can publish the form only by using the classic widgets and classic editor, which is not comfortable for me.

My blog server is Bluehost. I use the latest WordPress version,6.2.2, and latest Astra theme 4.1.5

Please help me solve the issue

  • Hi, I would like to see the invalid json response, please open your browser console, activate the logging of XHR and Requests then save your post and click on the request that was logged as you saved it. Then go to Response and please copy and post the whole response.

    Thanks @benniledl

    Ok, done.

It seems some issue with Cloudflare CDN blocking me from updating the widget for some reason. I use Bluehost integration with Cloudflare CDN, what they call: the “Basic Cloudflare” package.

*I replaced my Cloudflare ID and IP numbers with ### for privacy reasons.

So, here is the full response from the console:

    Thanks for reaching out @bluehostsupport

However, I have already contacted your support today about this issue, and the agent told me the problem is caused by the free Cloudflare CDN, and to solve this I need to remove the CDN and go back to Bluehost DNS.

I don’t want to remove Cloudflare CDN now, but the agent told me to either stay with the issue or remove the CDN. If you know how to fix the problem without letting go of the free CDN, I’d like to hear it. Would that be possible I’d be glad if you could escalate it for me through the email support on your site

Thank you for providing additional details. In reviewing further, the error is stating that Cloudflare is blocking an IP address due to specific rules within the firewall setup using Cloudflare Basic. To manage or unblock/whitelist IP addresses, you would need the premium version of Cloudflare, which support can assist with upgrading or removing.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or follow up, and we would be happy to review further.

    I see @bluehostsupport

Ok so for now, I would stay with the free Cloudflare CDN and maybe’ll change it later.
