Issue with the contact form in the home page
-
Hi, how are you?
I hope you are well.I’m using the Hestia Theme that allow to insert a contact form in the footer by inserting a contact form short code.
For the contact form I use the Forminator plugin that I find amazing like your theme but, it happens a strange issue in this home page form that never happen if the same form is inserted by the widget in a normal page.
I asked to the Forminator team two fix that the developers given to me as a Snippet code (two) to add. This codes works if the form is placed in a page but never work in the home page, this create another third issue: if the cookies for captcha is not accepted the form in home page is not locked as happen on other pages.
Seems there is an issue from Forminator or from the Hestia theme and I’m looking for understand how can I have a fix for this.
You can read the two open discussion that I started with the Forminator team, at the moment we never found a solution for this, code works on contact page but never work on the home page same contact form.
- Issue with ReCpatcha Compilanz placeholder, Forminator and Hestia
- Need add an alert about text that will be loosed if the page is refreshed
The contact form in the home page has been inserted as short code in the filed provided by your theme, here seems snippet code is not working also the Forminator form is not working as expected.
If the form is inserted in the contact page all works: cookie are not accepted? Then the form will be disabled. Once the form is enable you insert a text but refresh the page without submitting the form? Then an alert ask you if you are sure to leave and alert you the text can be loosed.
All this works in the contact page but never work in the home page.
Is a theme issue or something in Forminator? Forms works well on page, seems has issue to work if the form is inserted in the theme field provided by Hestia.Let me know, thank you for your help.
