base/icons/css?ver

  • Just love the fast page load speeds that Storefront provides and I want to make it even faster. I looked at the the unused CSS that appeared in “Coverage” and noticed that all of /storefront/assets/css/base/icons/css?ver=4.30 was unused.
    I can stop this by using Asset Clean up.
    Can you confirm I can do this on the home page and can you also advise where these icons are essential.

    I wouldn’t recommend removing or altering the file, as it just isn’t worth it in my opinion, even if everything works now. :?)

    However, you can try deleting the CSS file (NOT file) and find out if it’s going to break anything. Worst-case scenario, your pages will look distorted, and you can easily copy-paste the template back again to your theme files.
