    Hello Jordy.

Since the update of AI engine that should solve cache problems, it seems that I am having even worse problems with WP fastest cache (I opened a ticket there too):
Since then, even though I am logged in as admin I am constantly logged out from the website frontend, and instead I see the website as a guest… which is very inconvenient. Our users have the same problem. If I clear the cache manually or deactivate WP fastest cache things come back to normal. I just need to do it every minute or so which is very aggravating.- On staging where I cannot have AI engine as I only bought the single site version, things work fine… thus I assume there is a conflict between the two.
I really need the cache too.

On discord, it seems another user also had to remove his cache plugin, as he had similar problems.

Before the change of the plugin AI engine, everything was working really well, and the cookie problem was solved with the 10h reset ??

    Could you help please?

    Thank you in advance

    Helene

    Hi @helenel,

Since then, even though I am logged in as admin I am constantly logged out from the website frontend, and instead I see the website as a guest… which is very inconvenient.

I am sure the issue is not related to AI Engine, so don’t worry about that ?? It’s definitely a coincidence for me. What changed in AI Engine in that regards can only affect AI Engine and really nothing else.

That said, caching on the client-side can definitely have weird effects with the logged-in statuses of your users. Personally, I don’t recommend caching plugins at all (I never used any, and I don’t really understand why people use them); instead, use a good hosting service, they have caching on their side, and it will not have any side-effects or weird impacts. It will be much faster and trouble-free. My two cents ??

Hello Jordy, Thank you for your speedy answer as always. The problem must come from somewhere else, and as often it was just coincidental. (BTW, FYI I also noticed before to deactivate WP fastest cache that the chatbot answer was impacted, and could not be displayed without re-loading the page).
In any case, I’ll try to follow your advice and do without a cache plugin (my situation now)
My explanation for why we use it = when you have no real clue about webmastering, code etc, and you have to develop a website (no choice or you disappear), and learn (a bit) through trial and error and reading on the www, then you make plenty of mistakes and compensate your ignorance and errors with a cache… ? ??

Haha! I believe caching plugins are mostly used because most people start with cheap hosting services. With no plugins installed, and no data, WordPress is actually fast, even on those cheap ones; however, as the complexity of the website grows, it will slow down, and indeed, at that time, a caching plugin will magically makes it faster.

I don’t know who you are visitor, but you look like you want the same as the visitor before you, so here it is, no need to look in my DB or anything, here is what you want to see!

You get a faster website, but it’s actually as if you display a photo of your website to your visitor rather than the real thing. As soon as the visitor wants to interact with the photo, it will be indeed become weird, and here you go dive into all the options of those plugins… ?? I prefer to make it simpler, pay more and use a good hosting service, it worth the time.

Follow up on cache problems… You were just so right (and the coincidence is quite amazing too). My host just changed the server-side caching (engintron proxying my apache server to Nginx… here I am way beyond my understanding, just parroting what they said), which created the pb with WP fastest cache and with AI engine when WP fastest cache is enabled… well, this is probably THE opportunity to test your advice to handle cache server-side…
In any case thank you for your help, even though it had nothing to do with AI engine.
And you are right again with the initial bad (and not that cheap) US host, we have moved to VPS and not that cheap either host… ??
