[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Show albums, but not galleries within

  • I want to be able to display the albums only. Currently, the galleries within the albums display and I haven’t found a way (within nextgen) to just list the albums without their content.

    Ideally, I the albums would appear like a gallery does, but a simple listing of the album title will work for me. The user would then click on the album and then see the galleries within. Has anyone done this?

    for reference:
    Eventually the client plans on having about 15-20 galleries, so it’s more than we want to list on one page.

    No. I now realize that I have to make a custom theme/template for the albums. I’m working on modifying one of the gallery php files. I hope to have it done and posted late this coming week (other priorities,etc). Until then, I just hard coded the html.

    Of course, if you have working code you want to share…

    I found a way that you can do this.

    You will need to create an album in an album, that is how i have set it up.

    Example:
    I have 3 albums; 2 of which contains a number of galleries. The third album contains the 2 albums (with galleries).

    Like so:

    Album 1
    >Galleries

    Album 2
    >Galleries

    Album 3 (Main Gallery)
    >Album 1
    >Album 2

    So on the page which you will display the albums, I used the ID of Album 3 which will display Album 1 and 2. So when you click onto the Albums, you will see the galleries that belongs to that album.

    I triedand it doesn′tqork for me. I put 2 Albums to the third one, make link to [album=3,template=compact], but it gives me list of galleries, not list of albums. Only way to view list of albums is https://www.something.com/?page_id=X&album=3 but this I′m not able to put in manu “pages”
