Cron php version differs from WP version

    Hi, the wp control events are running on the (shared) server’s php version (7.4.33) rather than the php version assigned to WP (php 8 and above.) I can confirm WP is running on 8 using the info.php page. This is causing one of our crons to crash as the code requires php 8. Even using php -v in the server terminal reports php 8, but these crons and wp cli crons both run on the server 7.4.33 php.

    Is there a way I can get WP Control crons to run on the newer php version?

    I remembered we have SiteGround running the crons every X minutes so I think SiteGrounds cron system is the issue. Marking as resolved.

    Yeah this doesn’t sound like anything specific to WP Crontrol, as this plugin doesn’t affect the way that cron events get run. Good luck!
