    Hi all,

I was using translate press for my blog recently and successfully, but since a couple of days, everytime when I switch langauge or when I hit “translate site”, it results in an empty white site. Debugging shows nothing, .htaccess was deleted and created new, all other plugins were deactivated, but the problem still exists. This happens on every page.

Can you guys help me please?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Mostly, this is happening when you use a speed optimization plugin. These plugins compress all JS files into one file, but this process can create errors when you load a page. See if you have this type of plugins, disable them and try again to do the translation. You can also ask your host for disabling this if it have on the server.
Please, see if your server has HTTP2 and GZIP.If it does, autooptimize doesn’t actually has a positive impact on your website speed as HTTP2 means everything is downloaded in parallel, on the same connection and GZIP means minification doesn’t actually do anything.

    Hi,

Unfortunately, I am not using any of this, neither an speed optimization plugin, nor HTTP2 or GZIP. Any other clue?

Thank you, your help is highly appreciated!

Are you using TP right now? Becasue I checked your live website, adn it looks you have another plugin, Weglot, installed. We strongly recommend not use them together becasue can lead to various issues/bugs. Are you encounter the issue with TP installed only?

The other plugin was only installed recently to double check if it’s an error that occurs all the time, but it is not. TP is active again and the error still occurs, and no, we were not using both plugins at the same time.

    Thank you for your help!

Did you check with your host what I’ve recommended in the first reply? Also, be sure you have not activated the Fix broken HTML option from TP Settings –> Advanced tab.
If not, and the issue persists, you should contact us on our website, https://translatepress.com/support/ask-a-presale-question/, because we will need to investigate this in detail.

    Hi Alex,

Thanks for getting back. Did you guys do or change anything? Because today it is working again, and I have no clue why…

Nothing has changed as soon as you use the same version of the plugin. But probably, the issue was related to some caching that maybe you had.
