Hi, I have just ticked the section in the Woocommerce settings to allow Product Reviews on my client site.

But it is still not showing to allow people to leave a Product Review on the shopping cart website.

Is there something else I need to do to allow it to be viewed?

We have NO reviews yet for Products, but would like it to be seen so people can add a Product Review.

    Thanks

    Kristin

    Hi Kristin,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Seems like you have already enabled product reviews via WooCommerce → Settings → Products → General, however, site visitors are still not able to leave reviews, is that correct?

There are a few things you can still check here, such as:

    1. Reviews can only be left by "verified owners":

Is this checked or unchecked? If this is checked, then reviews cannot be left by users who have not yet purchased a product from your site.

You can find this option via WooCommerce → Settings → Products → General:

    2. Ensuring that reviews are enabled for individual products:

You can check this by navigating to the Product edit page, and then scrolling down to the Product Data Advanced tab, as seen below:

You can read more on enabling product reviews in the support documentation below:

    Hope this helps!

    Hi, Yes that worked now.

So I have to go into each product and tick that also.

I notice it shows the REVIEWS as a TAB. Is there another way to display it?

Most people may not scroll down there to see that. Is there a better way to see HOW people can add a Review? Customers may NOT know to click in here so that they can leave a review?

I assume we can’t let anyone leave a review , it has to be a customer?

Otherwise I could do it and leave a dodgy review which is not good.

is that when we put Verified Reviews, because obviously the reviews we want legitimate and ones that have already purchased from the customer?

    Thanks

Hi, is there an easier way to do the tickbox for each product, as my client has over 100 products, it would take hours to go into “EDIT PRODUCT” and down to Advanced, then tick, then Save, then close, then go to next product.

That will take many hours. Is there a quicker way please?

QUICK EDIT does not give the correct info to quickly do this.

    Thanks

    Kristin

    Hi @kristinubute

Yes, there’s a faster way to enable reviews for all products using a bulk edit feature. Just follow these steps:

    1. Go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Products > All Products.
    2. Use the checkboxes on the left side to select multiple products. If you want to enable reviews for all products, you can simply click the checkbox next to “Title” in the table header to select all products on that page.
    3. Once you’ve selected the products, click on the “Bulk Actions” dropdown menu located above the product list.
    4. Choose “Edit” from the dropdown menu, and then click the “Apply” button.
    5. In the bulk edit area, search for the “Reviews” or “Comments” section (depending on your WooCommerce version) and select “Allow” from the dropdown list.
You can take a look at this screenshot: https://screencast-o-matic.com/i/c0h02jVAk3c

    6. Click the “Update” button to apply the changes to all selected products.

Note: If you have more than one page of products, you might need to repeat the process for each page.

This way, you don’t have to go through each product individually, streamlining the process of enabling reviews for all products.

Alternate There are plugins available in the WordPress repository that provide bulk editing capabilities specifically for WooCommerce product settings. One such plugin is “Bulk Edit Products, Prices & Attributes for WooCommerce.” This plugin allows you to modify various product fields in bulk, including enabling or disabling reviews for multiple products at once.

    I hope that helps!
