    We’ve never had this issue before, we think it happened after the update to WordPress 6.2.1

    The Shortcode used to populate the reviews on the home page no problem, but now the shortcode only shows. The strange thing is that it shows fine on the testimonial page, just not the home page. There are no errors or warning messages

    Hi @devoantor !

    Please embed the code in a shortcode block!

    It’s a text block now.

    Feel free to write us, if you need any assistance,

    @liditrudex This is currently a shortcode block, not a text block. I have tried both shortcode block and the TrustIndex block and it keeps rendering like this. This is only when we put it in the Front Page Template. It works on the Page Template which is very strange, as you can see on https://belfairdentalcare.com/testimonials/

    @liditrudex We are using the Full Site Gutenberg Editor that has come out with the newly released versions of WordPress. We only noticed this error after the latest version of WordPress was installed: 6.2.1 which was released on the 16th of this month.

    Here’s a video proving we are using the shortcode block and it is still rendering as a paragraph

    This issue is affecting all of our sites and is now a big problem

    @devoantor This is an issue in WP 6.2.1 that affects shortcodes in block themes.

    WordPress 6.2.1 Shortcodes: Some shortcode no longer works

    @miyarakira I would think that’s the issue, but the shortcodes work fine on inner pages that use the page template. We are also not using bbthemes, just plain WordPress with the Full Site Gutenberg Editor. The shortcodes are put in the page editor rather than the template editor for the inner pages, and our Front Page is entirely built in the Front Page Template. Seems like this is an issue with placing shortcodes in the templates

    We are going to have to replace all shortcodes with the JS implementation method. Support is taking too long to address this issue

    We now know that this is Automattic’s fault, and we apologize for bringing this issue to your support forumn. Never thought in my life that Automattic would release such a breaking update

    @miyarakira @liditrudex

    I have figured out that the shortcodes can work in templates if you make it a template part. Very goofy solution, but it works
