Hi there, I have just installed and configured the settings using the wizard.

But one thing are not clear to me. According to point 9 in the Cookie Policy, users have the right to get access to see their personal data, and to request a copy of these data.

How do I access and share these personal data, if I’m requested to?

    Hi @carsten-lund,

The answer to this question mainly depends on how personal data of a given individual might be processed in your case (and via which systems etc).

Please refer to our earlier article(s) on the subject for a detailed explanation:

Responding to a Data Request: https://complianz.io/responding-to-a-data-request/

    Right to Access: https://complianz.io/definition/what-is-the-right-to-access/

    Kind regards, Jarno

Hi there, thanks for your reply which deals with all the legal stuff, which is of great value. But where do I find the data to share if I get a request, do I have to sign up to your web site, og can I download data directly from the plugin settings?

    Regards
    Carsten

    Hi @carsten-lund,

Please allow me to clarify: the Complianz plugin operates on your own webserver, no data will be shared with Complianz as a Vendor.

It is therefore up to you to determine whether personal data is processed via your website, and in what capacity.

Example: if you process personal data for the purpose of “registering an account” and someone exercises the Right to Erasure, you would have to remove the Account in question.

Hope this helps! Kind regards, Jarno
