Taxes not updating on checkout when applying Gift Card

I have tried several Gift Card plugins, and on my customers site, I can get the Cart to have a functional gift card input (it reduces the tax paid on the total order), while if I do it on the Checkout page, the Tax amount never lowers. This gives my client a load of issues as the payment provider cant process orders when the Tax is higher than the amount left to pay.

Example:
25% VAT
100$ item (incl tax, so 80$ without tax)
90$ gift card

If you use the gift card in the cart, you get a sum of 10$ to pay (where 2$ is tax) but if I use it in the checkout area, the tax doesn’t change and thus using the gift card, gives you 10$ to pay, with 20$ tax => Payment provider refuses order.

I have no custom code for tax or anything regarding this. I’m using the Woocommerce Checkout. I can confirm that at least YITH gift cards work on a demo page both on cart and checkout, but as mentioned – not in my checkout. I have the Hello Theme (using elementor pro).
